A trial and a paid subscription may use the same saved profile or different access details. Do not guess which applies. Confirm the transition with support, especially if you already have several profiles in the player or more than one device configured.
Ask what changes
Before replacing any fields, ask whether the server, username or password will change and when paid access becomes active. Keep the trial profile clearly labelled until the paid one is verified. If support confirms the existing account is extended, avoid creating unnecessary duplicate profiles that are easy to confuse later.
Test the paid profile deliberately
Open the profile that matches the confirmed activation details and test one live channel. Check the account expiry if the player exposes it, then try the content you used in the trial. If a failure appears, report the profile name and error without sharing credentials in a screenshot.
Clean up after confirmation
Once the paid account works, remove or clearly mark expired trial profiles so another household member does not open them by mistake. Repeat the change on other devices only after the first screen works. Keep the new activation record alongside your plan details.
Your checklist
- Confirm whether credentials change.
- Test paid access on one screen.
- Remove confusing expired profiles only after verification.
What to take away
A clean transition is about account identity. If the player is still opening yesterday’s trial, reinstalling the app or restarting the router will not activate that old profile.
