If every programme in the guide appears shifted by the same amount, record that pattern before refreshing or reinstalling. A consistent time offset is different from one channel having an incorrect schedule. Check whether live playback itself still works.
Compare the device clock
Look at the device’s current time and timezone, then compare them with your local time. Note whether daylight-saving changes are relevant to the location. Keep the original values before editing anything. A wrong device timezone can make several apps appear inconsistent, not just the programme guide.
Check more than one channel
Compare two or three guide entries with known programme times. If the offset is consistent, inspect the player’s guide-time adjustment if it offers one. If only one channel differs, report that channel and avoid shifting the entire guide to compensate for a local mapping issue.
Retest after one change
Refresh guide data once if needed and allow it to complete. Check the same entries again. Avoid stacking multiple offset settings at different levels because they can add together. Record what changed and whether future programme slots now align as well as the current one.
Your checklist
- Check device time and timezone.
- Compare the offset across several channels.
- Change one relevant setting and retest.
What to take away
A time correction should match the scope of the error. Do not move the whole guide to fix one channel when the rest already aligns.
