MAG models and firmware differ, so begin by sharing the exact model with support. Ask whether your device should use a portal workflow and which identifier is required. A portal address is an account setup detail; it should come from your activation message rather than an unrelated online guide.
Confirm the activation details
Record the identifier requested by support exactly as displayed on the box. Do not substitute the router’s address or an identifier from a different device. Ask support to confirm that the device is associated with your account before changing multiple portal fields.
Enter only the supplied portal
Open the device’s supported portal configuration area and follow the model-specific instructions. Labels differ, so avoid copying a menu path intended for another generation. Keep a record of the previous working configuration before replacing it. Restart only as directed by the setup flow.
Check the result in stages
First confirm network access, then portal loading, then the channel list and finally playback. A blank portal, an empty list and a channel that will not play are different faults. Send the stage and exact on-screen message to support so they can check the appropriate part of activation.
Your checklist
- Confirm exact MAG model and firmware.
- Use the identifier requested for that model.
- Copy the supplied portal without alterations.
- Record whether the portal, list or stream fails.
Can I use a random portal from a tutorial?
No. Use the portal assigned to your subscription and confirm the intended device association with support.
